Finding parking on campus poses a challenge for many K-State students. Unfortunately, this leads to students parking where they are not supposed to, and many receive tickets from K-State Parking Services. These tickets are easily acquired and expensive to pay for.
If you are guilty of this then you’re in luck, K-State Parking Services has partnered with Cat’s Cupboard and the Student Governing Association to create a new program that will provide forgiveness for certain parking citations.
This program is called “Donations 4 Citations” and will provide students, staff and faculty one forgiven citation per academic year if they donate 10 items (or more) to Cat’s Cupboard. These items must be non-perishable and can include: white rice, red lentils, marinara sauce, laundry detergent, vegetable oil, pineapple, jelly, ketchup, mustard, peaches and/or shampoo.
The items donated to Cat’s Cupboard will be available for the students and staff of K-State who struggle with food stability.
Once you have collected your items then all you have to do is take them to the parking services office along with your qualifying citation and the ticket will be forgiven. To see if your citation qualifies make sure to check out the K-State Parking Services website.
So, if you would like to avoid paying your ticket, then donate today to help those in need!
