This summer, were you also lured into the drama over Conrad or Jeremiah Fisher? I know I sure was, it was a roller coaster to say the least. Since the beginning, I was lowkey on Jeremiah’s side, but when season two came out, just to me, the chemistry just did not compare to Belly and Conrad. I started to hurt for Conrad; you could just tell he was broken, from all of the events his family and even himself had gone through. So then, in turn, I switched from team Jeremiah to team Conrad, right along with everyone else this summer. I was SCREAMING at the screen at some points, or even crying. And of course, the last episode, I was overjoyed. Through all the ups and downs, I always had someone to watch with, which for me was most of my sorority sisters. It was definitely the topic of the house till it ended, and we celebrated together.
So when watching with my sisters, I was curious how many of them are actually team Conrad or team Jeremiah. So I took a pole. Out of everyone who answered (30 of them), 100% of them were team Conrad, which makes sense as to why every episode in our living room became a bash Jeremiah session. I will just say Jenny Han knew what she was doing, and the cliff hanger that wasn’t really a cliff hanger, confused all of us to the max. We could not comprehend how she left us with everything, but also absolutely nothing at the same time. Even though it was a very interesting season to say the least, it kept many entertained and even frustrated to the point you had to keep watching.
So if you haven’t watched or even don’t agree with some of the episodes, I think we can all agree that Jenny Han knew what she was doing. She wanted you to be frustrated. She wanted to pull everyone towards Conrad because he was such an obvious choice, it made you think ‘What the heck is Belly doing right now? Clearly, Conrad loves her. And she wanted us to be lured in so we’d keep watching. It worked; I was thoroughly locked into every episode every week, and I bet you all were too.
