V-Day in MHK

The day of love is fast approaching on the calendar. Valentine’s Day is famously known for being cheesy, fake and simply an excuse for stores to charge you more for pink and red candy than they would on any other day.

Some love it, some hate it. But, how about using this V-Day to go out of your way to show unconditional love for your significant other? February 14 is the day to express your love in ultimate excess, no questions asked from anyone, in your own unique way.

And no one said you need to break the bank to give your partner some intentional one-on-one time. Here are a variety of date ideas in Manhattan that will give you a night of fun with your S.O.!

Spend the night in

If you’re not one for crowds or are looking to save a few pennies, some romantic quality time at home is perfect. Grab some supplies at the store together to make your favorite cocktails and elevate the evening by creating a charcuterie board with both of your favorite treats and snacks. Light a few candles, throw on some tunes, and you’ve turned your living room into an ambient date night. If you and your S.O. are feeling extra, Bourbon and Baker are offering a limited time Valentine’s Day Treats menu with a variety of goodies to pick up. Place your orders online or call the bakery through Feb. 10-14.

Get crafty

Fragrant Blends Candle Bar, MHK’s first and only candle bar, is hosting a special Valentine’s Day event. Head to Manhattan Town Center to create custom candles of your style and scent preference. This fun date idea includes two custom candles for $30 and will take place Feb. 11 and Feb. 14.

Dinner for two

If you’re looking for a more traditional night out, Houlihan’s is featuring an “Eat Your Heart Out” limited edition Valentine’s menu. If you feel like getting a lil’ dressed up and eating great food, their eats, treats and sweets menu for a special dinner is available Feb. 10-14.
