For the first time in history, the cats aren’t playing for a full stadium of fans. But that doesn’t mean students need to lose their wildcat pride. Here’s a few ways you can support K-State Athletics from home.
Wear your gear
DUH! The first way to spot a true fan is their purple and white. Whether it’s a purple dress, polo, or hat dress up and show out. If you’re looking for more inspo, check out “Caturday Outfits: Pops Of Purple” or our other go-to, Pinterest.
Have a potluck of fan food
For many, football games mean a cheat day. Stock up on hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, lemonade, and nachos and fire up the grill. No more stadium prices! Have each of your friends bring a side or dessert for a potluck and you’re set for a great game day.
Watch the game six feet apart
Grab up to nine of your friends and watch the game outside after hooking up your TV in the garage or on the deck. If you’re really tech savvy you can bring a TV to the bill and set up lawn chairs in the parking lot — gosh we miss tailgates.
Restaurant watch-party
Check out the restaurants or bar scene in downtown Aggieville and tune into the game with your pals six feet apart. Don’t forget your wildcat mask!
Cheer on the Cats through the gram
Get your friends and family hype for the game by hosting a live watch party with fans who can’t be in town. Try posting a poll on what fans are most excited for or quiz them on wildcat history. Share your support by making graphics, tag your favorite players and add gifs!
