Leslie Coffee Co.

For those of you that are coffee fanatics, this is heaven. The owner is the chairwomen of the Barista Guild of America and has been working in the coffee industry for over a dozen years making her an expert in the business. While this coffee shop is a charming and trendy place to hangout and enjoy a coffee on any nice day, it also offers classes. The classes are all about how to be a barista, how to make better coffee at home and how to taste and appreciate all the flavors in coffee. The classes add a new level to coffee shops and make it worth checking out.

Downtown Wichita

Downtown Wichita is a true gem with an endless supply of things to do. Adios Nachoria at Wave and Norton’s Brewing Company draw in foodies. Adios Nachoria is a creative taco restaurant with five-star drinks as well as live entertainment, giving it a fun and upbeat vibe. After grabbing dinner, be sure to stop by the multiple museums and parks. The Botanica is a beautiful garden that offers events and a perfect place to walk around and enjoy the outdoors. Another attraction is the Exploration Place, this interactive science center holds activities for all ages and has the state’s largest Dome Theater and Planetarium.

Boss Dogg

Food can make or break a trip, and Boss Dogg food truck knows that. Wichita’s very own Boss Dogg offers gourmet hot dogs, tacos, chips and guac and more. The truck sits in the middle of the nightlife. Boss Dogg is surrounded by live entertainment and a bar with great seating. This is a must for a Friday or Saturday night.

Seeing everything that Wichita has to offer makes a weekend trip away from Manhattan something to highly consider. Whether spontaneous or planned, you’ll be able to find something worth your time to do in the unique town.
