Fashion is a constant cycle of different trends, but it seems the latest one, known as athleisure, is here to stay. It’s a recycled 90’s style with a modern twist to it. Athleisure is a popular trend where typical work out clothing is now accessorized and worn for more than just a trip to the gym. People are displaying this athletic aesthetic everywhere now, even in the workplace. Who knew leggings and bike shorts would be the new “high fashion”?
Comfort always outweighs couture, especially when we struggle with finding our personal style. Now that we have the option of combining the two, many find themselves experimenting with their everyday wear and going out of their comfort zones. Athleisure is one of those trends that anyone can pull off at any time, and it even has the ability to boost your confidence. You could rock an athleisure look on the daily and no one would question it. It’s so popular that it’s now the new norm. Being fashionable never felt so easy!
Athleisure pieces can be found in almost any clothing store. Local ones being Marshall’s, Target, Rue 21, Buckle, and even thrift stores. We love a good steal on the latest trends! Most of the pieces pictured were actually from some of these stores mentioned. Adrianna Castillo, who modeled some of the pieces, explained why she thinks this trend isn’t going anywhere any time soon. She explained this trend as being, “comfortable, versatile, and easy [while still looking] put together.” Those three simple words describe this latest trend to a tee–no pun intended!
Comfy couture? Yes please!
